At Ocean Power Engines, we take pride in the quality and reliability of our marine engines and parts. Each product is backed by a manufacturer’s warranty to ensure your investment is protected and your boating experience remains worry-free. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms, coverage, and procedures related to warranty service.

1. Warranty Coverage

All new engines and products sold by Ocean Power Engines are covered under a limited manufacturer’s warranty. The specific coverage period and terms depend on the product and manufacturer, but most engines include coverage for defects in materials or workmanship for 12 months from the date of delivery or as otherwise stated by the manufacturer.

This warranty covers repair or replacement of defective components when used under normal operating conditions and maintained according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

2. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance
  • Modifications or alterations not authorized by the manufacturer
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
  • Damage resulting from accidents, shipping, or environmental conditions (such as corrosion or water intrusion)
  • Labor costs or service charges associated with removal or reinstallation unless explicitly covered by the manufacturer
  • Engines or parts used for racing, rental, or commercial purposes beyond their rated capacity

3. Warranty Claims

If you believe your product is eligible for warranty service, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our support team at contact@oceanpowerengines.com with your order number, proof of purchase, and a detailed description of the issue.
  2. Provide clear photos or videos showing the defect or problem.
  3. Our team will review your claim and, if approved, will provide instructions for repair, replacement, or return based on the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Warranty claims must be made within the coverage period. Unauthorized returns or repairs made without approval may void the warranty.

4. Shipping for Warranty Repairs

Customers are responsible for shipping the product to the authorized service center unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise. If the claim is approved and the defect is confirmed, the repaired or replacement item will be shipped back to you at no additional cost.

5. Transferability

Warranties are provided to the original purchaser only and are not transferable unless specified by the manufacturer.

6. Limitation of Liability

Ocean Power Engines and its suppliers are not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use a product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Warranty coverage is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts as outlined above.
